Nationwide networking
For more than 15 years, zdi.NRW has grown into the largest network for promoting young STEM talent in Europe. A major reason for the success of the community offensive is the unconditional will to exchange - within the zdi community, with European actors and in committees, associations and networks nationwide.
MINT network point Germany
In May 2021, the nationwide MINT network office MINTvernetzt was founded. MINTvernetzt is the service and contact point for the community of MINT actors in Germany and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The aim of the network center is to connect the nationwide actors, networks and initiatives in the MINT education sector with each other, to bring them into conversation and to support them with the help of transfer offers and innovation impulses in making innovative and sustainable MINT education offers that are even broader and appeal to diverse audiences. zdi.NRW welcomes the founding of the MINT network point. Both the zdi state office and individual zdi networks and zdi student laboratories are actively involved within the MINTnetworked community, e.g. through workshops or in exchange rounds.

STEM Country Advisory Board
In some federal states there are central coordination offices that are of great importance for the development of state-wide MINT network structures. These coordination centers know the local conditions and existing structures, provide targeted advice, establish contacts with important actors and cooperation partners and in this way enable synergies.
The zdi state office represents the networks and student laboratories from NRW at the federal level in the MINT state advisory board.
The MINT state advisory board is an amalgamation of the state coordination offices from Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate, Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia (zdi.NRW) as well as the AG Frauen in MINT-berufen in Baden-Württemberg with the National MINT Forum and the Körber Foundation, the organized by the board.
